EMAQ+ is an integrated package of training and written technical guidance for Local Authority professionals responsible for Emission Monitoring, Air Quality and Contaminated Land. The package provides a simple, clear, good practice guide for the cost effective and compliant management of air emission monitoring schemes; practical advice on the collection, management and dissemination of data for local air quality strategies and technical information for those dealing with the complexities of the contaminated land regime.

The package is run on an annual subscription basis managed and developed by AEA in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH).

The programme of seminars aims to cover current topics of importance in each of the three subject areas. Complementing these, a library of technical reference materials is available to subscribers in the password protected members' area, as well as presentation material from recent seminars.

The EMAQ+ Emission Monitoring module provides training and technical guidance for Local Authority Officers who have regulatory powers and responsibilities under the LA-IPPC and LA-PPC pollution control regimes. The range of materials offered caters for operational level staff that are new to the area and for more experienced officers who wish to update and extend their knowledge of the subject.
